The term end of arm tooling (EOAT) refers to a device or tool attached to the end of a robotic arm. EOAT will usually have a specific function, enabling it to grip, move, and otherwise interact with parts and componentry as required to help with industrial or manufacturing processes.
There are many different applications of EOAT which vary depending on the needs of the user. Listed below are some common manufacturing applications for end of arm tooling:
- Bin picking and pick and place
- Injection moulding
Although EOAT also has uses in the medical, agricultural, and MoD sector.
